Greece notice: The calendar contains the nine nationwide mandatory rest days for 2032. Clean Monday (Καθαρά Δευτέρα), Orthodox Good Friday and Holy Spirit Monday are not indiscriminately nationwide mandatory private-sector holidays. Government, bank, school, sector-specific and observance days are therefore not deducted by the working-day calculator without an applicable legal basis. Narrowly scoped local coverage: Only verified mandatory holidays are added: Holy Spirit Monday throughout Western Macedonia; 7 March in the former Dodecanese prefecture, limited to today's regional units of Kalymnos, Karpathos–Kasos, Kos and Rhodes; and 26 October in the Thessaloniki urban complex, precisely Ampelokipi–Menemeni, Kordelio–Evosmos, Kalamaria, Neapoli–Sykies and Pavlos Melas, the municipal units of Pylaia and Panorama but not Hortiatis, and the municipal units of Thessaloniki and Triandria. Further patronal and liberation holidays apply only inside the stated city or municipality boundaries: Kozani (11 October and 6 December), Ptolemaida (29 August and 15 October), Servia (7 July and 10 October), Siatista (26 October and 4 November), Grevena (15 May and 13 October), Deskati (21 May and 7 October), Florina (27 July and 8 November), Amyntaio (21 May and 6 November), Kastoria and Nestorio (11 November), Argos Orestiko (26 July and 11 November), Eleftheroupoli (6 December), the Rethymno urban area from Platanias to Koumbes (4 December), and the municipality of Aigialeia (26 January). The holiday table states the scope of every entry. This is a deliberately narrow subset, not a complete inventory of every Greek municipal holiday. Other local patronal or liberation days are not inferred from tradition alone. Weekend holidays do not receive an automatic Monday substitute. If 1 May falls on a Sunday, during Orthodox Holy Week or on Easter Monday, the Labour Ministry selects the substitute date by an annual decision; until it is published, the calendar shows the statutory nominal date.

Greece 2032: calendar analysis

This analysis is calculated from the holiday entries displayed on this page. It distinguishes unique dates, nationwide dates and regional scope instead of treating every stored row as a day off everywhere.

24 regional entries

The 33 stored holiday entries fall on 30 distinct dates. Several regional holidays can share a date, so counting table rows as universally free days would be misleading.

Nationwide dates: 9. Of these, 5 fall from Monday through Friday and 4 fall on a weekend. A weekday date still needs to be checked against the employment rules that apply to the individual case.

Regional entries: 24 across 16 stored scope codes. Select the actual state, canton, region or municipality before using them for leave or working-day planning.

October has the highest count with 8 displayed entries. This describes the stored calendar distribution, not an automatic entitlement to time off.

Understanding annual planning

Using the Greece calendar 2032

The overview contains 33 calendar entries for 2032. Dates with different scopes can appear separately even when they fall on the same day.

The list distinguishes 16 scopes. Check the location or region beside each date.

What matters in Greece

Movable Greek dates follow Orthodox Easter. General statutory rest days are distinguished from religious, government and sector-specific dates. Regional patron-saint and liberation days apply only to the area identified.

Plan work and leave with the calendar

Check the holiday scope and employment effect first. Then select your workplace in the calculator and use your actual working pattern. An observance, a partial-day holiday or a public-service date is not automatically a full day off.

Possible starting points for bridge days include New Year's Day, Epiphany, Greek Independence Day and Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and Ohi Day. Check their scope and the days off before or after them.

Daylight at the right location

The solar calendar applies to the named reference location and its time zone. Use the place calculator for another city; a country name alone does not determine sunrise times.

Future years and changes

Recurring rules can produce future dates, but cannot anticipate new laws, elections or one-off days off. Recheck distant dates before making a binding plan.
