Calendar guide
How to choose the right calendar calculator
A calendar calculation is useful only when its assumptions match the question. A Monday-to-Friday working-day count is different from a legal working-day calculation that can include Saturdays. Vacation planning needs public holidays for a selected country and region, while an age or ISO-week calculation does not. The tools on this page therefore ask only for the information that changes the result.
For planning with public holidays, start by selecting the country. Add a region when a holiday applies only in a state, canton or autonomous community. Results separate calendar days, weekends and excluded holidays so that the total remains understandable. This transparency is more useful than a number whose calculation cannot be checked.
Date and calendar results are intended as practical planning aids. Contractual working schedules, local substitute days, statutory deadline rules and authority-specific procedures can lead to a different legally binding result. For formal deadlines or payroll decisions, verify the result with the responsible authority or a qualified adviser.
