A calendar without borders
kalender.wiki is a bilingual reference for annual calendars, public holidays and practical date calculations. It is designed for people planning travel, work, school or personal events across borders. Annual views from 2026 through 2050 are available for every supported ISO country and territory. Pages work on mobile and desktop, are print-friendly and require no user account.
How our calendar data is produced
The calendar grid is generated directly from Gregorian calendar rules. ISO week numbers follow ISO 8601: weeks begin on Monday, and week 1 is the week containing the year's first Thursday. Moon phases are calculated astronomically for the selected period. Sunrise and sunset use the date, coordinates and time zone; polar day and polar night are identified explicitly instead of being represented by invented clock times.
Public holidays are maintained separately by scope. The worldwide nationwide baseline is generated offline with the MIT-licensed python-holidays library using only its PUBLIC category, then validated by native PHP. Maintained country-specific rules replace that baseline completely where available. Regional holidays name their state, canton, department or comparable administrative area and are not presented as nationwide. School holidays are imported through the ODbL-licensed OpenHolidays API. Its publication status describes the captured time horizon but does not guarantee completeness for every individual school. The calendar distinguishes published, partially published, not-yet-published and source-unsupported country-years; future dates are never estimated. Official decisions, Moon-sighting dates and school schedules can change, so decisions with legal or financial consequences should also be checked against the responsible authority.
Editorial principles
Our guides explain the result, method, assumptions and limitations. German and English are maintained separately. Automatically generated pages are released for search and advertising only when they contain enough distinct calendar data and a clear user benefit. Calculator results support planning but do not replace legal, tax or human-resources advice.
