Calendar legend Public holiday
Greece notice: The calendar contains the nine nationwide mandatory rest days for 2030. Clean Monday (Καθαρά Δευτέρα), Orthodox Good Friday and Holy Spirit Monday are not indiscriminately nationwide mandatory private-sector holidays. Government, bank, school, sector-specific and observance days are therefore not deducted by the working-day calculator without an applicable legal basis. Narrowly scoped local coverage: Only officially verified mandatory holidays are added: Holy Spirit Monday throughout Western Macedonia; 7 March in the former Dodecanese prefecture, limited to today's regional units of Kalymnos, Karpathos–Kasos, Kos and Rhodes; and 26 October in the Thessaloniki urban complex, precisely Ampelokipi–Menemeni, Kordelio–Evosmos, Kalamaria, Neapoli–Sykies and Pavlos Melas, the municipal units of Pylaia and Panorama but not Hortiatis, and the municipal units of Thessaloniki and Triandria. Further patronal and liberation holidays apply only inside the stated city or municipality boundaries: Kozani (11 October and 6 December), Ptolemaida (29 August and 15 October), Servia (7 July and 10 October), Siatista (26 October and 4 November), Grevena (15 May and 13 October), Deskati (21 May and 7 October), Florina (27 July and 8 November), Amyntaio (21 May and 6 November), Kastoria and Nestorio (11 November), Argos Orestiko (26 July and 11 November), Eleftheroupoli (6 December), the Rethymno urban area from Platanias to Koumbes (4 December), and the municipality of Aigialeia (26 January). The holiday table states the scope of every entry. This is a source-backed subset, not a complete inventory of every Greek municipal holiday. Other local patronal or liberation days are not inferred from tradition alone. Weekend holidays do not receive an automatic Monday substitute. If 1 May falls on a Sunday, during Orthodox Holy Week or on Easter Monday, the Labour Ministry selects the substitute date by an annual decision; until it is published, the calendar shows the statutory nominal date. Understanding annual planning

Greece calendar 2030: planning guide

The Greece calendar for 2030 combines all twelve months with ISO week numbers and the public-holiday coverage available for this country. Nationwide dates and regional dates are kept distinct, because a regional holiday may not create a day off at every workplace in Greece.

No published school-holiday dataset is stored for this country and year. This should not be interpreted as an absence of school breaks; official education authorities remain the source for unpublished schedules.

The linked solar calendar provides daily sunrise and sunset values for its named reference location, including its time zone and daylight-saving changes. Values for another location in the country can differ noticeably.

Separate annual pages list every ISO-week range and all primary Moon phases. This country page stays focused on the twelve-month grid and public-holiday scope while preserving direct access to the more detailed datasets.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Greece calendar 2030

Are regional holidays valid throughout Greece?
No. A regional date applies only in the scope printed next to it. Select or verify the relevant subdivision before relying on it.
Why can week 1 begin in the previous year?
ISO week 1 is the week with the first Thursday. Its Monday can therefore fall in late December.
Can the public holidays be imported into another calendar?
Yes, when holiday coverage exists, the ICS download adds the listed dates to compatible calendar applications.
Are school-holiday dates legally binding?
They reproduce published data, but the responsible education authority and school remain decisive for attendance planning.
Which place are the solar times for?
The linked solar calendar names its reference place, coordinates and time zone.
